DIPTRON CULIXCARE – repellent for blood-sucking insects in livestock
Repellent for mosquitoes, biting midges, flies, horseflies, fleas, ticks, and mites. Designed for direct application on livestock. It protects cattle against vector-borne diseases transmitted by insects: bluetongue (BT), lumpy skin disease (LSD), and epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EHD).
Vector-borne diseases transmitted by insects pose one of the greatest threats to cattle farming in Poland and Europe. Bluetongue (BT) has been present in Poland since 2024. Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is subject to compulsory official eradication — its detection results in the immediate culling of the herd and the establishment of protection zones. The vectors for these diseases are blood-sucking insects of the genera Culicoides, Aedes, and Culex, which are active from spring to late autumn.
The General Veterinary Inspectorate explicitly recommends the use of repellents to protect animals against insects identified as disease vectors. Diptron® CulixCare is the response to this recommendation.
